The character and her positioning in the composition is quite good. Your combination of media makes for a rather unique style and presence. I agree Diane about the backround and the graffitti, but they both seem necessary to the piece. If the graffiti was absent then her gaze upon the wall would be odd since nothing would be there. The red in the bottom right corner is the only real distraction, it's such a vibrant color that it draws attention from the girl to the red. The cardboard piece in the bottom left is a good idea, however it needed to be pushed further by for example: having something inside that area or put it in shadow. Either direction would yield more depth to the image, currently the girl has depth while everything else does not. Nice piece, the urban samurai is a interesting idea.

Woo, I like it a lot! The torn cardboard is an awesome touch, and I love the grafitti (though, were it possible, I might bring it down so it doesn't pull us so far from the figure). Oh, I just noticed the landscape in the grafitti lettering... well, I <3 it even more now. :> Couple minor issues I have: the first thing that struck me about the figure was a sense of buttlessness, mostly on the right side; also, it could just me be, but the sword looks as though it's bowed inward. Still, quite jawesome work ye've got here and a great use of mixed media.
